LANGUAGE COORDINATOR – QUALITY VALIDATION

(EU funded project in the field of Education & Training)

The Language Coordinator – Quality Validation (m/f) reports to the Department Manager and works closely with the quality assurance officer. He/she is responsible for the overall coordination and quality assurance of the distance-learning content, materials and tools in several languages. He/she coordinates, informs and leads the team of linguistic experts.

Details of the function

  • Assign the content validation to the linguistic experts (linguistic and functional check).
  • Brief the linguistic experts on the needs/missions and pedagogical specifications of each project.
  • Ensure that all created materials match the quality standards as defined by the Department Manager.
  • Ensure that the quality process and reports are up to date
  • Document the quality process in the project management software
  • After verification, disseminate the validated materials to Instructional Designers for amendments.
  • Perform the technical verification of all created activities.
  • Order and validate the necessary translations and transcriptions.

Your profile

  • You hold a University degree in languages. Master’s degree or equivalent in an area of digital education is an asset.
  • You have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a language trainer, linguist or translator.
  • You have proven experience working in the online or digital environment.
  • You have proven experience in the creation and quality control of language learning programmes.
  • You can work autonomously, relish challenges, have an easy-going temperament and have experience leading a team of people.
  • You possess strong teaching skills with a real interest in innovation, such as but not limited to: blended learning, online learning and the use of new technologies in the classroom.
  • You have a strong, proven interest in ICT in language education and in instructional design.
  • You are comfortable with software vital to your role (Office Suite, Audacity, Redmine) and have some experience using Adobe Captivate and Articulate Storyline.
  • You have a knowledge of English corresponding to level C1 as defined by the CEFR. The knowledge of another language is an asset.
